First of all, I would like to give a few shout outs. I have to leave most of them anonymous but a huge shout to anyone who sent me the positive messages this week. And a huge shout out to our newest VIP sponsor, Emily's Interiors. Great friend of mine and true champion. Joe Kupstas is one of the most hard working successful human being's I have ever met. In fact, we won a little league championship together in 1991. East Side Improvement Club for the Joe Dimaggio Championship. Thank you Joe and company. You are who you surround yourself with!

Phenomenal response from my friends on the Book. Keeps me going. I can't explain it but I'm on a path that has come with many decisions. I get to the point where I start asking myself what the fuck I'm doing. Am I doing the right thing? Am I on the right path? Then out of nowhere the answer just drops in front of me. A new opportunity, words of encouragement, or just a situation that needed me in the right place at the right time. After writing that South High Football blog last week, it's getting clearer. People offering to help anyway they can because they believe in what I'm doing. We are reconnecting people on a positive front. We are giving the people of Worcester a voice.

After watching how Coach Bob Larose and company get these kids prepared in practice, I got an invite to tour the highly touted New South High School. Wow is all I have to say. Not sure who was in charge of this design but walking through the first half of it, I was almost jealous. I guess I still kind of am, however, I am proud that the students of South High are finally getting a fair shake to compete with the rest of the world to succeed. The football field is not done being constructed yet but the placement is borderline genius. The entire school layout is. It would take me to long to review every upgrade between this and the old building, so I will give the things that stood out most to me. First of all walls. Yes there are walls. Along with some incredible technology.

Ok Automotive. Where is Mr. Greg Ricardi? Hahaha First off, I took Auto every year I attended South. Mr. Ricardi did some some phenomenal things for this school for what he had to work with. This is a goddamn Dealership haha. Notable takes. We have an alignment machine that not even Town Fair Tire has. Also, we are one of two schools in the country that has Diesel Engine education. The space, storage and technology in this place, ummmm, Voke where you at? Haha. I just don't even know what to say here. I'm not overly into car's or engines, but it appears to me that you can drive anything you want into these bay's and have it fixed or modified.

Automotive Classroom. Now the next thing that stood out to me. The Auditorium. The old building had a huge Auditorium. They did not disappoint. It's basically the Palladium only brand new, and I'm sure the Audio Technology is state of the art. All I could think of was a serious venue for a concert. Should be interesting to see what kind of events they hold here outside of school events. Check this out.

And the new kitchen for the cafeteria. Home Economics Kitchen. You could run a 5 star restaurant from either.

Yes that's right. A full blown pizza oven. What the Fuck. I would like a full review of my academic records. I must still have eligibility to re-enroll somewhere...These kids better appreciate this. We blazed the path to this kitchen with Chicken Patties and Grey Steak and Cheeses. I used to try to get Big Jim to get me alumni access to the cafeteria for just those two things so I'm not complaining, I'm just saying. And finally, for the win....

The new Colonel. They took the guns out of his hands and I have my own feelings about that. I'm glad they went with a sports theme instead of putting a pencil and book in his hands. The gym is incredible. Much like the rest of the school, the layout reminds me of the old building but with more technology. They have a rubber court still secondary to the main court. I heard about the new gym class method too. They used to roll out a shopping cart of warped basketballs and tell us to play. Rumor is that they now set up stations with a bunch of different activities to choose from, one of them being cornhole. Times have changed.

Only thing that made me certainly jealous, these kids get classroom ChromeBooks. WTF. The technology inside these classrooms is unreal. The teachers have everything they need to make these kids successful, and the students have all they need at their fingertips to succeed.

So walking through the school, security came up a few different times. A hot topic that they definitely had to plan in designing the layout of the school and as we talked about it, we agreed it was sad but necessary were the measures they had in place for an active shooter situation. 530 cameras at the fingertips of Principle Jeff Creamer. They have locks, retractable walls. They have a handle on that situation, god willing they never have to activate these measures but in today's day and age, they have to be prepared. Jeff has pretty much put his entire heart into South High his entire life. His father was legendary South High teacher Gerry Creamer. Colonel Pride runs in this dudes blood. Take a look at his accomplishments here as an athlete...

Not too shabby. I'm glad he is at the helm. No doubt he has wanted the best for this school and the students in it since he stepped onto the grounds.

So that wrapped up the tour. Unreal and I can't wait to see the field when it's finished. Took the tour and went home to get ready for the South High vs. North Middlesex game at 4pm. Rolled there with my guy Dave Kenney. Had a blast. Watched the Colonels take home a W behind some solid defense and a 3 touchdown performance from Angelo Larose. 20 carries, 175yds and 3tds, including this 60yd romp to paydirt. South High won 26-13...Here are some highlights from the game. This team is about to explode. Stack the box? Be careful what you wish for This kid has a laser for an arm.

Angelooooo with a huge stick!!!!!!

Angelooooo with a monster run for his 20th TD of the season

and finally. If you are wondering why I'm bleeding with Colonel Pride, I can't explain it better than this man right here. Class of 1989. South High's Glory era. It was Brian Larose's Birthday this week. After this inspirational video he put out this week to explain The Colonel Pride phenomenon, people are starting to listen. He put out a year by year list of things he will Thank you Brian, from one Colonel to another, I legit had tears in my eyes listening to you in this video.

Doherty Vs South High tonight @ 5pm. Foley Stadium. Inter-High Power Rivalry. I remember the old days facing Doherty. Eddie and Darren Brown. Larry Abney. Trevor Grey. 97ish. We owe them something tonight. Lets Go Colonels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
