Greatest Card of All Time. The COAT.

ree

This card right here man. It's not even a question in my head. Greatest card of all time. Not hard at all to get because o the rumor! And its just that, because no one actually physically knows how many exist and there were thought to be well over two million printed. But what a crock of shit my childhood was. Besides the crushing documentary I watched last year, https://decider.com/2019/07/25/jack-of-all-trades-netflix-baseball-card-documentary/, I just came across an article that also claims people were walking around Southern California hobby shows with 500 count boxes of just the Griffey card alone. And there I was, in 1989, ready to bash a skull just to hold one. The Mecca. Now there is really no facts to backup this being the best card of all time but it just is. Trust me. No numbered, no autograph, no parallel, no refractor, no jersey, no bat, nothing. Just a picture of not A Kid, but THE Kid! on some cardboard semi glossed. Different generations will have different opinions but have to say the majority of non haters my age would agree with this. The hobby has changed and only the whiners will tell you for the worse. They found a way to save all the collectors my age who have endless 1988-90 Topps common cards stashed in a VCR in the attic. Who spent all those years collecting cards they were hoping became Mickey Mantle/Babe Ruth/Honus Wagner value. But they stayed Ellis Burks, Mike Greenwell, Jose Canseco and Mark Mcgwire value. A good percentage of these guys ended up being juiced and honestly, who gives a fuck. Much of our entire childhood people cant wait to erase these years and stats. Wasn't fair. Isn't fair. So just remember. That old dude in the aisle of Target, or Walmart that doesn't seem young enough to collect or old enough to have grandchildren to collect for...just know that he's still chasing that Ken Griffey Jr high.

P.S. 2nd Greatest Card IMHO
