We have gotten better every week. I guess it's starting to pickup steam Mr. Fleming because here is where we started from the bottom as Drake would say...

Now we here!...

Can't be doing that bad if we are sitting here on a ZoomCast shooting the bullshit with Tommy and Teddy Daly as well as Gordie Lockbaum Jr about the legendary World Series Run of 2002. As a bonus my man Hurricane Peter Mcneeley was kind enough to give us his time again and hang with us. I have so much to say. A few very interesting points from last night to say the least. Now back in 2002 when Burkett went on this world series run. At the time I was working the door at Leitrim's Pub. I had worked a few nights simultaneously before with Tommy Daly while he was on police detail and it was almost surreal to see him on fucking SportsCenter but there I was. Watching him walk to the mound on Esp fucking N. Starstruck in a way. I don't know, it was really cool to me and probably a million other people so if you know, I guess you know. I mentioned Seatlle Mariners Legend Harold Reynolds in the ZoomCast because I specifically remember the infielder's drill spot he did with America's new miniature Superstar infielder 2nd baseman, Andy Fallon on one of the ESPN broadcast's. Also deep in my memory which Tommy Daly says in the chat, was the image of seemingly larger than life Frankie Flynn and Andy Fallon side by side. Looked like David and Goliath pretty much. I'll never forget when they returned from Williamsport, I had seen Tommy briefly come through Leitrim's and of course drew a crowd. I remember telling him that their run was treated like New England Patriots playoff games around here. And it was. No matter where you were, those games were on TV. People planning and gathering to watch. Epic. Was a proud moment for the city of Worcester and I hope we talk about it forever. We also had the pleasure of having young Gordie Lockbaum Jr join us. Now listen. This youngblood won a game on National TV with a game winning homerun. You couldn't have witnessed anything more humble than this kid. Barely even acknowledge it and had some really good insights about the whole process. It made perfect sense after hearing Coach Daly tell us how Gordie Sr, his dad and also Worcester/Holy Cross Football legend, would sit deep in Centerfield away from everyone and lay low so he could let his son and teammates keep the spotlight. I hope theirs a lesson or point of morality like this in every episode and it should be highlighted. Take note Lebron James. I've watched Lebron doing alley-oop to himself windmill dunks in his son's team's layup line before games while its being broadcast. C'mon. Just seemed petty, like, let your kid have his shine. I'd much rather go the Gordie Sr route because he's already had his time. Just saying. Kudo's. Great night guys and we absolutely loved the stories.
Ok now onto my man, The Hurricane, Peter Mcneeley. Peter was our guy from episode #1. My guy. Nicest dude on the face of the planet I swear I'll stand by that forever. I felt like our production the first episode didn't do him justice so I wanted to have him back on. I feel like he has a lot to say. He's really piqued my interest after that first chat. Spent the week watching some of his fights and interviews and took two things into this chat to ask him. Now listen. I'm really not sure that he doesn't own the biggest brass set of nuggets in boxing history. The Tyson fight? Yes he was crazy for stepping into the ring with an animalistic Tyson. But I came his fight with Henry Akinwande and let me tell you....In the street, I'm messing with Tyson way before Akinwande. Six feet, seven inches tall, built like Zeuss. He didn't do any of this for the money. He legit just has heart and loved to fight. Loves the sport. Second thing I took away from this weeks research was The Chris Myers interview ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzDxB5Wb6sw&t=1193s) with Peter before the fight. It's 20 minutes long. I believe this interview was exactly who Peter is. Went through the entire thing with class and dignity, and had tons of interesting stories to tell all while Myers sits there almost taunting him about the upcoming Tyson fight. When you watch it, you will know what I mean. I haven't known Peter personally all that long, but I consider him a friend at this point. If Chris Myers would ever like a piece, here's a public challenge. Any style you want you want, I'm down Chris. Boxing, MMA, BareKnuckle. Haha Woooooooooooooooooo!
